NIGERIA AT 66, EBONYI AT 30
INDEPENDENCE DAY MESSAGE.
On behalf of the Governing Council, Management, Senate, Staff and Students of Ebonyi State University of ICT, Oferekpe, I warmly felicitate with His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, FNIM, Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, on the occasion of Nigeria’s 66th Independence Anniversary and the 30th Anniversary of the creation of Ebonyi State.
These twin anniversaries offer us a special moment to celebrate our national resilience and, equally, the remarkable journey of Ebonyi State over the past three decades.
Your Excellency, the story of contemporary Ebonyi cannot be told without acknowledging the importance of the development initiatives and legacy projects being undertaken by your administration. Across the State, investments in roads, infrastructure, education, healthcare, human capital development, technology and other critical sectors continue to shape the physical and socio-economic landscape of Ebonyi.
As an institution dedicated to education, technology, innovation and human capital development, we particularly appreciate the emphasis your administration places on building institutions and creating opportunities for the younger generation. We believe that the greatest legacy of any government is the foundation it lays for generations yet unborn.
At Ebonyi State University of ICT, Oferekpe, we remain committed to supporting the development aspirations of Ebonyi State by producing knowledgeable, innovative and technologically equipped graduates who will contribute to the advancement of our State and Nigeria.
As Nigeria celebrates 66 years of independence and Ebonyi State marks 30 years of existence, we salute the courage, resilience and determination of our people and reaffirm our faith in a greater future.
