South-West residents declare support for APGA candidates as massive crowd storms Lagos endorsement rally
LAGOS — The political temperature surrounding the 2027 elections in Ebonyi North received a major boost in Lagos as Ebonyi North residents living across the South-West gathered in large numbers and declared their support for High Chief Chikaodili Ojimba for the Senate and Hon. Barr. Toochukwu Ogalagu (T-Man) for the House of Representatives.
The gathering, held at the Recreational Hotel in Lagos, brought together Ebonyi North residents from different states across the South-West, with the organisers describing the turnout as a powerful demonstration of growing grassroots and diaspora interest in the forthcoming elections.
The high point of the event was the presentation of a Certificate of Endorsement to High Chief Ojimba, recognising him as the preferred choice of the participating group for the Ebonyi North Senatorial seat in 2027.

Participants at the gathering said their decision was driven by what they described as the need for purposeful, responsive and development-oriented representation.
The atmosphere at the venue became particularly charged as supporters celebrated the endorsement, with the crowd repeatedly expressing solidarity with Ojimba and T-Man.
“We did not come here because anybody compelled us. We came because we believe our people deserve representation that will listen to them and speak for them.”
Another participant said the gathering had demonstrated that the political conversation surrounding Ebonyi North could no longer be confined to the geographical boundaries of the senatorial district.
“Our people are everywhere. We live and work across Nigeria, including the South-West, and we remain deeply connected to the future of Ebonyi North. What happens in 2027 concerns all of us.”
OJIMBA RECEIVES ENDORSEMENT CERTIFICATE
The presentation of the endorsement certificate to Ojimba became the defining moment of the gathering.
The organisers said the certificate represented the collective position of the participating residents and their commitment to mobilising support for the APGA senatorial candidate ahead of the 2027 elections.
Ojimba, who has continued to build political and grassroots structures around Ebonyi North, was presented as a candidate whose supporters believe can provide a stronger voice for the district at the National Assembly.
T-MAN ALSO GETS SOUTH-WEST SUPPORT
The gathering also reaffirmed support for T-Man, APGA candidate for the Ebonyi/Ohaukwu Federal Constituency.
Supporters linked the two campaigns to what they described as a broader desire for effective representation, grassroots engagement and increased attention to the interests of constituents.

For the participants, the message from Lagos was unmistakable: the 2027 contest has already begun to generate intense political mobilisation beyond Ebonyi State, with Ojimba and T-Man emerging as the candidates around whom the South-West gathering has chosen to rally.
