Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has criticised President Bola Tinubu’s administration, arguing that it lacks the capacity and energy required to address Nigeria’s mounting challenges.
Obi said Nigeria needs a president who is physically available, responsive to emergencies and willing to visit troubled communities to understand the difficulties facing citizens.
“We need him to go home because Nigeria cannot be governed by his energy.
Nigeria needs a president who will be available and be there at any location in the country that has a problem,” Obi said.
He also criticised the handling of insecurity, arguing that the abduction of hundreds of people should prompt an urgent and decisive response from the nation’s leadership.
“We cannot be in government, and 600 people will be kidnapped and taken into the bush; we will go into that bush with them,” he stated.
Obi, stressed that protecting lives and property should be a top priority for any administration.
He maintained that Nigeria needs leadership capable of responding swiftly to security threats and addressing the challenges affecting ordinary citizens.
