The All Progressives Congress (APC) deputy governorship candidate in the Osun State governorship election, Kayode Adereti, has praised the turnout of voters and the security arrangements for Saturday’s poll.
Adereti also said he was satisfied with the performance of the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS), describing the accreditation process as smooth.
He spoke after voting at Ward 11, Unit 3, Ilare, in Ife Central Local Government Area of the state.
According to the APC candidate, the election had remained peaceful at his polling unit, with voters turning out in numbers to cast their ballots.
He said the BVAS machines were functioning properly and that voters appeared satisfied with the accreditation process.
“The turnout is impressive and the security is perfect. The BVAS is working well, and everyone is happy here,” he said.
Adereti encouraged more residents of the state to come out and participate in the election.
“I urge the people of Osun State to come out and vote. We are ready, and the people are ready to make Osun a better place,” he said.
He also urged voters to maintain peace and order as voting continued, while calling on political parties and their supporters to abide by the rules and allow voters to freely choose the next governor of the state.
