Ghanaian actress and fashion icon Nana Akua Addo has reportedly been hospitalised after an alleged domestic assault involving her husband, Harold Duodu Norman.
Videos circulating online show the actress with a swollen lip, a cut beneath her eye and bloodstains on her clothes and the floor.
Her husband was reportedly arrested and is assisting police investigations into the incident. However, Norman has denied allegations that he assaulted the actress, while both sides have made competing claims about what happened.
Nana Akua’s lawyers have also appealed to the public to stop circulating videos involving the actress and her children, stressing that the matter is being handled by the appropriate authorities.
Nana Akua, a German-born Ghanaian model and actress, is known for her distinctive fashion appearances, particularly at the AMVCA. She married Norman in a private civil ceremony in March 2022.
The couple had previously spoken about challenges in their relationship, including allegations of infidelity.
The latest incident remains under investigation.
