Actor Charles Born Reveals Embarrassing Experience at Abuja Church Over His Outfit

Nigerian actor Charles Born has shared an unpleasant experience at Celebration Church in Abuja, claiming he was asked to change seats during a Sunday service because of his outfit.

The actor recounted the incident in a video shared online, explaining that it happened during the church’s second service on Sunday, October 18, 2026.

According to Born, a man approached him during the service and initially suggested that the seat he occupied might be reserved. The man reportedly later indicated that his dressing could be an issue.

Born, who wore trousers, sandals and a vest, said he was confused by the request, particularly because an usher had directed him to the seat.

He explained that he preferred sitting near the aisle to have enough space to move freely during worship and prayers. However, the encounter left him feeling embarrassed, prompting him to leave the service.

Expressing his disappointment, the actor questioned why anyone seeking to worship God should feel unwelcome because of their appearance.

He maintained that churches should be welcoming places for everyone and expressed shock over what he described as an uncomfortable experience.

The incident has sparked conversations online about church dress codes, hospitality and whether a person’s appearance should determine their comfort or acceptance during worship.
