Angela Nwosu has fired back at critics who questioned her decision to gift her husband a brand-new 2026 Cadillac Escalade for his birthday.
In a video shared online, Angela responded to the criticism, explaining that she bought the luxury vehicle with her own money and paid for it in full.
According to her, she did not borrow money from anyone to purchase the car and questioned why some people believed she should have used the money to empower Nigerians instead.
I bought my husband the birthday gift, his dream car, with my own money. I didn’t borrow the money from anybody. I paid in full cash, she said.
She also noted that she has previously assisted people financially, including helping some individuals pay their rent and school fees.
However, Angela questioned why she was expected to use the money meant for her husband’s birthday present to carry out public empowerment.
“So I should have used the money as Federal Government? As Federal Government, do I look like a commissioner? Am I a politician?” she asked.
She further urged those criticising her decision to simply congratulate her husband and move on.
Angela maintained that the luxury car was a personal birthday gift to her husband and that she should be allowed to spend her money as she chooses.
