The Federal Government has reportedly commenced the disbursement of ₦50,000 monthly cash assistance to vulnerable Nigerians under the National Emergency Relief and Stabilisation Intervention (NERSI).
According to the circulating announcement, eligible beneficiaries are expected to receive payments directly into their bank accounts or mobile wallets, with SMS notifications reportedly sent to selected recipients.
The announcement also warns Nigerians against fake registration links, fraudulent agents and unauthorised USSD codes. Beneficiaries are advised not to pay any registration fee or disclose sensitive banking details, including their PIN, BVN and OTP.
Those marked “NOT SELECTED” are reportedly advised to await possible subsequent batches.
However, Nigerians are urged to verify the programme through official government channels before acting on any message or sharing personal information.
