Following the verdict, Judge Joel Bennathan rejected Brand’s bail application and ordered him into custody, warning that he faces a significant prison sentence.
He is scheduled to be sentenced on Monday, November 9. Meanwhile, the Metropolitan Police confirmed that investigations into two additional rape allegations against the comedian remain ongoing.
The case has drawn renewed attention to sexual consent and accountability in the entertainment industry, with prosecutors accusing Brand of using his celebrity status to exploit women.
