Dull Student!— Atiku Slams Tinubu Over Fuel Discount

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has accused President Bola Tinubu of copying his fuel relief proposal without giving him credit, demanding an apology.

Atiku, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, said he proposed targeted support to reduce fuel costs in September but was criticised by the Presidency for allegedly lacking economic knowledge.

He expressed disappointment that the government later introduced a similar measure, describing the development as embarrassing.

The Federal Government subsequently announced a 30-day petrol discount at NNPC retail stations, targeting relief for public transport operators.

Atiku, however, questioned the sustainability of the initiative, arguing that Nigerians need lasting solutions to rising fuel prices and the cost of living.

The Presidency’s response to his latest accusation remains unclear.
